Son-Kol lake is located on the high-mountain plain of the Naryn region of Kyrgyzstan, between the ridges of the Tien Shan mountains. Located at an altitude of 3,300 meters above sea level. This is the only lake in Kyrgyzstan, from which flows a full-flowing river flowing into the Naryn river. It is a potential object of ecological tourism. Around the lake there are pristine pastures and buffer zone. The lake is fresh water, maximum depth is 14 meters. Along the shore of Son Kol lake there are numerous yurts designed for both visiting tourists and the local population. Here you can feel like one of the Kyrgyz and see the life, culture and national color of the nomads. The surroundings of the lake are especially beautiful in summer, when the meadows are showered with rare mountain flowers Edelweiss. On the Northern shore of the lake is the only stone building in the entire valley — the mausoleum of Taylak Baatyr, built in the late XIX century.
